CINCINNATI--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--The shares of financial firm Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) have swooned 61.7% during the past 52 weeks, but lately they seem to be attempting a comeback from their lows. In fact, from its Oct. 10, 2008 nadir of $6.71, the equity has surged nearly 179%.

The stock recently clambered atop former resistance from its 10-week moving average, and has now closed 6 consecutive weeks atop this intermediate-term trendline. This level could now switch roles to provide support for continued gains in MS.
