Vertigo Theme Parks Announce New Zoning Concept for Its Buga Theme Park

BOCA RATON, Fla.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Vertigo Theme Parks, Inc. (Vertigo) (Pink Sheets:VTPK) is pleased to announce a unique new "Zoning" concept for its Park located in Buga, Colombia. Within the over arching theme of the park VTPK-Buga will offer different areas of the park to different audiences. Instead of dotting rides and facilities around the park at random, VTPK will improve the customer experience by channeling visitors to the most appropriate "zones" for them. For example, adrenaline rides will be contained in one area, with gentle children's rides located mainly in another. This will ensures the youth market is tapped into and doesn't feel VTPK is "uncool", whilst parents can keep their young children safe in designated areas where the emphasis is on a relaxing, calm environment.

An additional benefit of Zoning will be the opportunity to price different areas of the park differently. Using the Vertigo/E-monee Wallet Card, the park will be able to tailor pricing to the target market and offer multiple access options to cater to every expectation and income level. For example, a family with children under 5 is unlikely to want to stay all day, or go on the big rides. Visitors will able to tap in and out of the zones they are interested in, paying only for what they desire to visit. A total of around twelve zones will provide a great deal of flexibility to visitors, enabling them to create their own experience. "It is our belief the people will visit multiple times to try out different combinations and they are likely to progress through zones over time, as their family grows up and changes thus ensuring multiple visits over time," said Kevin Johnson, VTPK's CEO. Access to all twelve zones will be available to those who desire the total park experience. All Zones of the Park are of equal quality, it is simply the target audience that is different.

The concept will also allow for differentiated pricing schemes that can include low-income families that previously might have never been able to attend a theme park. Additionally, the Zoning approach will allow VTPK to offer VIP areas or give discounts to certain zones to regular customers. For example, a teenager who has visited three times in one year could be sent a direct mail piece thanking them for their support and informing them that their Vertigo/E-monee Wallet Card has been loaded with four VIP tickets to the adrenaline area. This will encourage return visits and the return visitors are likely to spend money on food, drink and merchandise, or pay to visit other Zones whilst they are at the park. Offering them variable pricing will enable them to manage traffic by offering special "for one hour only" discount access to the less popular zones when other areas become crowded.
