Mon, January 26, 2009 Richard E.Beavers Named Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness Groupof Great American Financial Resources
CINCINNATI--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Great American Financial Resources, Inc. (NYSE:AFG)(NASDAQ:AFG) announced that Richard E. Beavers has been promoted to Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness Group (OEG). In his new role, he will continue to help transform the company's project and process management initiatives.
Mr. Beavers joined Great American Financial Resources in 1998 as part of the Enterprise Project Company and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in information technology in March 2001. Since joining the company, he has been involved with many organization-transforming projects such as overseeing the Company's Y2K preparedness team; developing its IT disaster recovery program; and leading several business continuity efforts.
Mr. Beavers is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati (B.S., Information Systems, 1988) and Thomas More College (M.B.A., General Business, 1997).
