NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 10, 2009) - The Midas Funds (NASDAQ: [ MIDSX ]) (NASDAQ: [ MPERX ]) (NASDAQ: [ MISEX ]) will be paying the following distributions which are scheduled with a record date of June 26, 2009 and an ex-dividend, reinvestment, and payable date of June 29, 2009.

As of the date of this press release the per share distributions are estimated as follows:

The per share amounts are preliminary estimates and may change between the date of this press release and June 29, 2009. A precise determination of the per share distribution is not possible because the number of shares outstanding on record date cannot be determined in advance.

The distribution for Midas Fund represents ordinary income earned in fiscal 2008. The distribution for Midas Perpetual Portfolio represents short term capital gains earned in fiscal 2008 and 2009. All taxable shareholders will receive written notification regarding the components and tax treatment for all 2009 distributions in 2010 on Form 1099-DIV.
