FORT LAUDERDALE, FL--(Marketwire - June 5, 2009) - Sanswire Corp. (PINKSHEETS: [ SNSR ]) ([ www.sanswire.com ]), ("Sanswire" or the "Company"), a company that develops and produces Lighter than Air Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) designed to provide persistent surveillance for extended durations at mid and high altitudes, has named Thomas Seifert as the Company's Chief Financial Officer, effective June 1, 2009.

Mr. Seifert has served as a consultant to the company since April 2007 and has more than thirteen years of experience in financial management. Prior to Sanswire, Mr. Seifert served 5 years as CFO of a public telecommunications company. He has raised several million dollars from various investors over the past six years and has vast experience in mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Seifert has been involved in transactions with Intervoice-Brite (INTV) and the Mark Travel Corporation, a subsidiary of United Airlines and United Vacations. Past positions include CFO of 2Sendit.com, Controller for Integrated Telephony Products, and Controller for Mountain Vacations.

"Since Thomas became a consultant to Sanswire in 2007, he has been an integral part of our efforts to bring the Company up-to-date in its fiscal filings," said Jonathan Leinwand, CEO of Sanswire. "He has been focused on rectifying Sanswire's previous issues and ensuring that we become current in our reporting requirements with the Commission so that we can begin to concentrate our efforts on our next stages of growth and development. We are thrilled to have Thomas become part of our core management team and we are fortunate to have such an experienced and well-respected professional as part of Sanswire."

"I am very excited to come on board in this capacity," said Thomas Seifert. "This is an auspicious time for Sanswire, as we move closer to flight testing the STS-111.
