ROANOKE, Va.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--The U.S. Army Research, Development & Engineering Command has awarded ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) a $19.9 million order for ITTa™s AN/AVS-6(V)3 aviator night vision goggle and spare image intensifier tubes including ITTa™s highest-performing Generation 3 Pinnacle® image intensifier in production, the MX-10160C. The MX-10160C tube is the most advanced night vision technology available, producing the clearest, sharpest night vision image for U.S. soldiers.

Night vision systems with the MX-10160C image tubes have the ability to detect available light with more than 10 times the power of previous generations. They are designed for use in aviation goggles and ground systems that are used by special operations.
