Lands' End FeelGood Sweaters Benefit Warm Up America!
Buy a FeelGood Sweater and Lands' End Will Donate FeelGood Yarn to Volunteer Knitters
DODGEVILLE, Wis., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Once again, Lands' End is providing a way to feel good about shopping and giving this fall. The company will kick off the FeelGood Campaign for a second year, offering a terrific way to shop – and feel good about giving the gift of warmth to individuals and families in need across the country. For every Lands' End FeelGood sweater purchased, the company will donate signature FeelGood yarn to Warm Up America!, a nationwide knitting charity dedicated to knitting and crocheting blankets for families in need. Lands' End expects to donate thousands of pounds of yarn to the charity where volunteers plan to knit or crochet 7" x 9" "squares" which will then be connected by Warm Up America! volunteers to make blankets to be distributed to those less fortunate.

The FeelGood sweater is available in a V-Neck or Professor Cable Cardigan ($59.50 - $69.50), Easy Turtleneck ($69.50), Easy Low V-Neck Pullover ($59.50) or the Professor Cardigan in solids or argyle ($49.50 - $69.50).

"We are thrilled to work with Lands' End to provide families in need this fall and winter with warm hand knitted and crocheted afghans," said Mary Colucci, Executive Director of Warm Up America!. "With FeelGood yarn donations, volunteers nationwide are ready to pick up their needles and hooks to give the gift of warmth to thousands that are less fortunate."
Brett Bara, knitting and crocheting personality and host of TV's Knit and Crochet Now! is also working with Lands' End to help instruct novice knitters and those that want to learn how to crochet as well as create the square patterns for the campaign. About Warm Up America!
Warm Up America! is a charity that has warmed peoples' lives since 1991. It started in a small Wisconsin town with neighbors knitting and crocheting afghans for neighbors in need. Thanks to the creativity of founder Evie Rosen who came up with the idea of having volunteers knit or crochet small sections and then others join them together, the idea quickly caught on. Today, Warm Up America! distributes warm afghans, caps and other items to tens of thousands of people, thanks to the generosity of knitters and crocheters around the country.
