Next-gen Ford Focus pushed to the limits in scorching conditions

The next-generation Ford Focus is no stranger to being put to the test in some of the most extreme locations all over the world. It's been thrashed over frozen lakes, hammered through deserts and driven up and down alpine passes – all to ensure the reliability and dependability of the new car. Antequera, in southern Spain, is a regular testing spot for Focus. One of the hottest places in Western Europe, Antequera sees temperatures pushing north of 104 degrees Fahrenheit (40 degrees Celsius) in the height of summer. New Ford Police Interceptor utility brings more choices for law enforcement

Ford has revealed its new Police Interceptor utility vehicle, which offers a choice of two drivetrains, a multipurpose cargo unit specially calibrated for heavier loads, state-of-the-art curve control and Ford SYNC®. The utility vehicle is designed to complement the sedan introduced earlier this year, offering law enforcement a complete portfolio of choice. It will deliver at least 20 percent better fuel efficiency than the current Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Ford, Seattle collaborate to prep for electric vehicle arrival

Ford and Seattle are teaming up to develop consumer outreach and education programs on electric vehicles to help prepare the city for the use of these vehicles. The collaboration includes sharing information on charging needs and requirements to ensure the electrical grid can support the demand.
