June 28, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4129 companies with "abnormal" market making, 4405 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2280 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), ALTRIA GROUP INC (NYSE:MO), EASTMAN KODAK CO (NYSE:EK), BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON CORP (NYSE:BK), JPMORGAN CHASE & CO (NYSE:JPM), FORD MOTOR CO (NYSE:F). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BAC $-0.020 -0.18% 35,611,317 33.21% 34,819,792 32.47% 791,525 Abnormal
     MO $-0.580 -2.17% 8,149,454 37.96% 6,939,703 32.32% 1,209,751 Abnormal
     EK $-0.020 -0.58% 2,254,145 42.85% 1,491,620 28.36% 762,525 Abnormal
     BK $-0.190 -0.77% 7,811,056 35.33% 6,942,994 31.40% 868,062 Abnormal
     JPM $-0.140 -0.35% 12,736,938 30.71% 10,368,983 25.00% 2,367,955 Abnormal
     F $-0.090 -0.67% 18,098,119 33.58% 16,519,266 30.65% 1,578,853 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Tuesday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with 791,525 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.02000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
