June 24, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 4355 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2537 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4013 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. SWISHER HYGIENE INC (OTCBB:SWSH), URANIUM RESOURCES INC (NASDAQ:URRE), AMERICAN CAPITAL AGENCY CORP (NASDAQ:AGNC), GT SOLAR INTERNATIONAL INC (NASDAQ:SOLR), TIBCO SOFTWARE INC (NASDAQ:TIBX), STAPLES INC (NASDAQ:SPLS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     SWSH $0.080 1.40% 1,741,047 12.76% 11,756,439 86.18% -10,015,392 Abnormal
     URRE $0.060 3.77% 2,773,874 14.70% 15,372,346 81.48% -12,598,472 Abnormal
     AGNC $0.100 0.35% 3,771,281 21.81% 13,514,354 78.16% -9,743,073 Abnormal
     SOLR $0.270 1.79% 4,236,743 23.29% 13,773,527 75.71% -9,536,784 Abnormal
     TIBX $0.310 1.20% 6,904,016 25.42% 19,599,307 72.18% -12,695,291 Abnormal
     SPLS $0.030 0.19% 7,475,489 29.27% 17,545,598 68.70% -10,070,109 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Friday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SWSH with 10,015,392 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.08000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
