December 8, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5580 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3895 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2621 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bearish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices dropped. The Coca-Cola Co (NYSE:KO), Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ), Johnson Lambert & Co. (NYSE:S), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Cobalt International Energy Inc. (NYSE:CIE). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  KO $-0.260 -0.01% 6,209,450 47.52% 3,310,262 25.33% 2,899,188 Abnormal
  VZ $-0.250 -0.01% 5,050,847 44.12% 2,630,956 22.98% 2,419,891 Abnormal
  S $-0.180 -0.02% 13,875,298 45.48% 8,617,133 28.24% 5,258,165 Abnormal
  MSFT $-0.220 -0.00% 7,730,523 36.74% 5,419,656 25.75% 2,310,867 Abnormal
  F $-0.030 -0.00% 16,924,739 40.83% 13,957,760 33.67% 2,966,979 Abnormal
  CIE $-0.190 -0.14% 9,438,581 36.95% 5,949,684 23.29% 3,488,897 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more buying than selling on Thursday and their stock prices dropped. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows KO with 2,899,188 greater shares of buying than selling (NetVol) and the stock price was down $-0.26000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more buying than selling should cause prices to rise.
