December 8, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5580 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3895 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2621 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund (NYSE:EWZ), Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE:WMT), Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE:P), Dniprogaz JSC (NYSE:DGAZ), Immune Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:IMNP), MCIG Inc. (OTC:MCIG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EWZ $-0.210 -0.01% 3,292,146 18.59% 9,543,276 53.88% -6,251,130 -297,673
  WMT $-0.110 -0.00% 1,493,666 21.83% 3,023,174 44.19% -1,529,508 -139,046
  P $-0.040 -0.00% 1,918,071 26.89% 3,430,054 48.09% -1,511,983 -377,996
  DGAZ $-0.450 -0.12% 16,436,349 34.89% 18,079,464 38.38% -1,643,115 -36,514
  IMNP $-0.080 -0.29% 10,863,759 34.81% 13,329,873 42.71% -2,466,114 -308,264
  MCIG $-0.016 -0.12% 1,467,810 32.85% 2,999,855 67.14% -1,532,045 -957,528
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EWZ down $-0.21000 with a Friction Factor of -297,673 and a Net Volume of -6,251,130. That means that it takes 297,673 more shares of selling than buying to drop EWZ by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
