December 9, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5554 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3314 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2871 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Delta Galil Industries Ltd. (NASDAQ:DELT), Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc. (NASDAQ:HMNY), Opexa Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:OPXA), Emergent BioSolutions Inc. (NYSE:EBS), Sky (OTC:SKYAY), AC Immune (NASDAQ:ACIU). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DELT $0.290 0.40% 98,869 58.88% 29,167 17.37% 69,702 2,404
  HMNY $0.970 0.23% 683,451 38.81% 663,707 37.68% 19,744 204
  OPXA $0.350 0.41% 3,951,372 38.81% 3,878,956 38.09% 72,416 2,069
  EBS $5.150 0.19% 780,695 38.69% 680,530 33.73% 100,165 194
  SKYAY $10.290 0.26% 38,459 44.96% 27,711 32.40% 10,748 10
  ACIU $2.880 0.24% 157,919 38.16% 148,950 35.99% 8,969 31
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DELT with a dollar gain Friday of $0.29000 and a Friction Factor of 2,404 shares. That means that it only took 2,404 more shares of buying than selling to move DELT higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
