December 9, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5554 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3314 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2871 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Friday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT), PharmaCyte Biotech Inc. (OTC:PMCB), Credit Suisse Group AG (NYSE:CS), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $-0.170 -0.01% 15,216,896 26.72% 21,870,253 38.41% -6,653,357 -391,374
  CAT $-0.730 -0.01% 980,224 15.00% 3,931,904 60.16% -2,951,680 -40,434
  PMCB $-0.036 -0.23% 9,412,948 40.02% 13,618,636 57.90% -4,205,688 -1,158,592
  CS $-0.420 -0.03% 2,265,420 22.58% 4,988,969 49.72% -2,723,549 -64,846
  GDXJ $-1.790 -0.05% 3,733,406 12.11% 12,925,814 41.91% -9,192,408 -51,354
  JNUG $-1.160 -0.15% 14,345,182 32.64% 17,561,102 39.96% -3,215,920 -27,723
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM down $-0.17000 with a Friction Factor of -391,374 and a Net Volume of -6,653,357. That means that it takes 391,374 more shares of selling than buying to drop EEM by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
