DELRAY BEACH, Fla., March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The PAWS Pet Company, Inc. (OTCQB:PAWS) (OTCPK:PAWS), the innovative pet services company,  announced today the launch of [ PET-REGISTER.COM ] a nationwide pet registration database, and a strategic alliance with the Emergency Pet Assistance Foundation, (EMPAF) a non-profit organization that provides missing pet search services.

With over 6 million family pets reported missing each year, the [ PET-REGISTER.COM ]database and supporting technologies provides an important service for the pet community.

John Nesbit, Executive Director of EMPAF, commented, "Over 50% of people who lose a pet cannot provide a current photograph or detailed description of their pet. There is a real need for a single nationwide database where pet owners can register their pets and keep information up to date."
