March 5, 2012 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3570 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2317 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3755 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Monday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BP PLC-SPONS ADR (NYSE:BP), MERCK & CO. , INC. (NYSE:MRK), KERYX BIOPHARMACEUTICALS (NASDAQ:KERX), Oracle Corp (NASDAQ:ORCL), CEMEX SAB-CPO (OTC:CXMSF), CANNABIS SCIENCE INC (OTCBB:CBIS). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BP $0.760 1.60% 8,111,061 38.57% 5,611,274 26.68% 2,499,787 32,892
     MRK $0.520 1.37% 6,390,535 34.26% 4,619,453 24.77% 1,771,082 34,059
     KERX $1.250 33.78% 15,377,127 51.87% 14,012,415 47.27% 1,364,712 10,918
     ORCL $0.280 0.93% 17,376,092 51.60% 16,247,584 48.25% 1,128,508 40,304
     CXMSF $0.040 5.29% 6,000,000 48.00% 1,000,000 8.00% 5,000,000 1,259,446
     CBIS $0.023 17.72% 16,224,011 52.27% 14,808,050 47.71% 1,415,961 629,316
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BP with a Net Buy Volume of 2,499,787 shares and a Friction Factor of 32,892 shares. That means that it takes 32,892 more shares of buying than selling to move BP higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Monday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
