During National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week (Nov. 14-20) Lands' End donated $1 (up to $25,000) to the NCH for each coat purchased on Monday, Nov. 15 at landsend.com.  Lands' End also donated $1 (up to $10,000) for each new Facebook fan between November 16-19– for a total donation of $35,000 to the NCH.  In addition, Lands' End collected over 100 warm coats at "The CBS Early Show Plaza" in New York on Nov. 15 and continues to collect coats at their company headquarters in Wisconsin throughout November.  The coats will be distributed to local homeless families and individuals.

"Lands' End has yet again demonstrated its commitment as a corporate partner of the National Coalition for the Homeless to share the warmth with those in need – both in terms of warm coats and through its generous $35,000 donation.  These donations will allow us to address the immediate needs for families and individuals experiencing homelessness as well as tackle the long-term issues to help prevent homelessness," said Neil Donovan, executive director, National Coalition for the Homeless.  "We have been challenged by the U.S. Congress to show how constituents such as Lands' End can contribute to reducing and ending homelessness in America.  Our work with Lands' End during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is a great example of meeting this challenge."

"We are excited to once again tap our expertise in sharing the warmth to help families and individuals in need.  Through our experience in working with the National Coalition for the Homeless, we know these warm coats, scarves and the $35,000 will be put to good use and will help bring an end to homelessness," said Susan Sachatello, chief marketing officer, Lands' End.
