Sun is also announcing that the call for submissions is now open for the seventh annual Duke's Choice Awards, which celebrate extreme innovation in the world of Java technology. Duke's Choice Awards selection is based on the innovation and creativity of Java technology-based applications and services, including web applications and tools; mobile applications and services; and games and card-based applications. Winners will receive a statuette of 'Duke,' the Java technology mascot, and be recognized for their achievement at the JavaOne conference. Java University Program

The Java University(SM) program is returning as part of the JavaOne conference. This year attendees have a choice of attending half- or full-day sessions being held on May 31 and June 1.
