December 22, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5321 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2190 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3988 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. SURGE COMPONENTS Inc. (OTC:SPRS), China Natural Resources Inc. (NASDAQ:CHNR), Retractable Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:RVP), Americann Inc. (OTC:ACAN), General Cannabis Corp (OTC:CANN), PhaseRx (NASDAQ:PZRX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  SPRS $0.279 0.28% 41,050 51.14% 39,220 48.86% 1,830 66
  CHNR $0.400 0.18% 407,567 36.60% 365,888 32.86% 41,679 1,042
  RVP $0.140 0.15% 139,849 42.81% 92,495 28.32% 47,354 3,382
  ACAN $0.262 0.22% 45,335 56.29% 34,512 42.85% 10,823 414
  CANN $0.570 0.24% 281,145 59.19% 188,306 39.65% 92,839 1,629
  PZRX $0.290 0.21% 75,070 34.16% 52,833 24.04% 22,237 767
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows SPRS with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.27930 and a Friction Factor of 66 shares. That means that it only took 66 more shares of buying than selling to move SPRS higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
