December 27, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5384 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3620 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2502 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd (NYSE:NAK), NOVUS ACQ & DEV CORP (OTC:NDEV), Western Copper Corporation (NYSE:WRN), Bonanza Creek Energy Inc. (NYSE:BCEI), Conatus Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:CNAT), AMERICAN CANNABIS CO (OTC:AMMJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  NAK $0.600 0.32% 4,463,888 40.66% 4,295,129 39.12% 168,759 2,813
  NDEV $0.391 0.42% 2,819,546 51.41% 2,579,115 47.03% 240,431 6,144
  WRN $0.380 0.32% 398,968 35.31% 392,091 34.70% 6,877 181
  BCEI $0.220 0.26% 6,949,570 37.37% 5,570,015 29.95% 1,379,555 62,707
  CNAT $1.640 0.37% 9,158,601 39.08% 9,083,545 38.75% 75,056 458
  AMMJ $0.310 0.38% 2,347,732 60.85% 1,507,088 39.06% 840,644 27,118
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows NAK with a dollar gain Tuesday of $0.60000 and a Friction Factor of 2,813 shares. That means that it only took 2,813 more shares of buying than selling to move NAK higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
