Orvana Minerals Corp. Announces Appointment of New Interim Chief Executive Officer

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 8, 2013) - Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX:ORV) announced today that Bill Williams has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer and President as well as a director of Orvana. Michael Winship, a director of Orvana, has been appointed Orvana's President and Chief Executive Officer on an interim basis.

Robert Mitchell, the Chairman of Orvana's board of directors expressed his appreciation for Dr. Williams' leadership of Orvana and the significant advancement of its principal projects during his time with Orvana, "Bill has made many valuable contributions to the company's transition to being an international, multi-mine gold and copper producer and we wish him well in his future endeavours."
