April 2, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 4007 companies with "abnormal" market making, 2501 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2969 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. BOS Better On-Line Solutions Ltd (NASDAQ:BOSC), Optimer Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:OPTR), Synthesis Energy Systems Inc (NASDAQ:SYMX), BGC Partners Inc (NASDAQ:BGCP), Federal National Mortgage Association (OTC:FNMAJ), (OTC:MZRTF). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BOSC $1.600 50.00% 479,055 54.41% 401,576 45.61% 77,479 484
  OPTR $2.240 19.19% 2,210,537 60.00% 1,387,484 37.66% 823,053 3,674
  SYMX $0.200 18.77% 924,141 54.10% 784,086 45.90% 140,055 7,003
  BGCP $1.870 48.57% 14,608,363 52.13% 13,394,926 47.80% 1,213,437 6,489
  FNMAJ $0.740 25.00% 75,082 5.03% 38,794 2.60% 36,288 490
  MZRTF $0.950 20.65% 57,853 38.54% 26,060 17.36% 31,793 335
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BOSC with a dollar gain Tuesday of $1.60000 and a Friction Factor of 484 shares. That means that it only took 484 more shares of buying than selling to move BOSC higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
