Bombardier Announces Closing of its New Issuance of Senior Notes Due 2016 and Senior Notes Due 2023
MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 14, 2013) - Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.A)(TSX:BBD.B) today announced that it has successfully closed its issuance of US$2 billion aggregate principal amount of new Senior Notes. The issuance is comprised of US$750 million aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2016, which carry a coupon of 4.250% per annum and were sold at par (the "2016 Notes"), and US$1.25 billion aggregate principal amount of Bombardier's Senior Notes due 2023, which carry a coupon of 6.125% per annum and were sold at par (the "2023 Notes"). The 2016 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2016, and the 2023 Notes have a maturity date of January 15, 2023. Bombardier intends to use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes.
