January 9, 2013 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Wednesday. On Wednesday there were 3947 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3332 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2031 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Wednesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MICROSOFT CORPORATION (NASDAQ:MSFT), Vale SA (NYSE:VALE), Itau Unibanco Holding SA (NYSE:ITUB), Federal National Mortgage Association Fannie Mae (OTC:FNMAS), Tranzyme Inc (NASDAQ:TZYM), Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:
Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction MSFT $0.150 0.56% 20,725,938 54.18% 17,391,866 45.46% 3,334,072 222,271 VALE $0.020 0.11% 7,270,862 43.80% 3,923,434 23.64% 3,347,428 1,673,714 ITUB $0.230 1.34% 6,225,249 38.84% 3,005,520 18.75% 3,219,729 139,988 FNMAS $0.040 2.22% 2,082,920 76.08% 440,380 16.09% 1,642,540 410,635 TZYM $0.030 5.77% 2,290,092 75.27% 752,545 24.73% 1,537,547 512,516 FB $1.520 5.23% 53,870,773 51.81% 49,871,891 47.96% 3,998,882 26,308Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.
For example, the chart above shows MSFT with a Net Buy Volume of 3,334,072 shares and a Friction Factor of 222,271 shares. That means that it takes 222,271 more shares of buying than selling to move MSFT higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Wednesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
