Vantex Cuts 148.5 Metres at 0.80 g/t Au on Hendrick
LA PRAIRIE, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - July 4, 2012) - The management of Vantex Resources (TSX VENTURE:VAX)(FRANKFURT:UD7A)(ALPHA:VAX) is pleased to announce an intersection of 148.50 metres at 0.80 g/t Au (along the hole) including a section at 0.99 g/t Au over 48 metres in drill hole VPE12-48, located in the area of the Hendrick showing (Galloway project).
The Company did two drill holes in this area to test the in-depth extension of the Hendrick zone. Drill hole VPE12-48 intersected a lithologic zone similar to drill hole VPE10-15 while drill hole VPE12-47 intersected geological units different from the historical data. This drill hole intersected a zone of 382.50 metres at 0.38 g/t Au (along the hole) including 223.50 metres at 0.48 g/t Au and 57 metres at 0.67 g/t Au, including 28.50 metres at 0.97 g/t Au.
All the samples from the Hendrick zone drilling program were tagged, bagged and shipped to Laboratoire Expert Inc., Rouyn-Noranda, where 30-gram pulp samples are prepared and assayed for gold (FAA). New gravimetric analysis (FA) are performed on all the samples with levels higher than 1.0 g/t Au. A strict QA/QC program including random insertion of blanks, standards and duplicate samples has been followed throughout the sample preparation. The NQ-size core is logged, sampled and split in two at the company's core shack in Rouyn-Noranda.
The Hendrick showing is located on the South point of the Golden Triangle that is formed by the GP, Moriss and Hendrick showings.
Also, management expects to receive the results from its airborne survey in the coming days. This survey will allow for a better evaluation of the different structures that intersects the property, namely in the area of the Golden Triangle. The 43-101 Technical Report should also be available in the coming weeks.
Management will resume its works on the Golden Triangle area in the coming weeks.
Regarding the Cookie Monster project, management decided to postpone its drilling program in order to focus on the Galloway project.
The work in progress is under the supervision of Mr. Daniel Kelly, geologist and Qualified Person under NI 43-101. He read and approved this press release.
