Bombardier Aerospace announced today that its Global 6000 jet world tour has reached India as the aircraft with its new Vision Flight Deck made its South Asia debut. The aircraft landed in Delhi on July 1 and will continue to tour across the country until July 7, 2012.

"The Global 6000 jet is receiving an astounding reception in India," said Nilesh Pattanayak, Managing Director, South Asia, Bombardier Business Aircraft. "Indian customers are extremely discerning and they recognize that the Global 6000 aircraft offers the best in cabin technology, design, and comfort. With this technology and design now extending to the cockpit with our Vision Flight Deck our customers are amazed at the jet's class-leading attributes, once again reaffirming Bombardier as the business aircraft leader in India."

India is among a number of countries considered to be key emerging markets for business aviation. Globalization, increased travel requirements by business people and a general positive trend towards the acceptance of business aircraft use are among the contributors to increased activity in the region. The Bombardier Business Aircraft Market Forecast, published in June 2012, predicts business aviation industry deliveries of 1,345 aircraft in India for the 20-year period covering 2012-2031.

Vision Flight Deck: A breakthrough in business aviation, the Vision Flight Deck is designed to deliver a completely new cockpit experience. By combining the best in technological advancements with superior designer aesthetics, it provides pilots flying Bombardier's Global aircraft an unprecedented level of control and comfort. The Vision Flight Deck introduces the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics suite, providing an integrated flight deck to ensure interoperability between systems.

Pro Line Fusion for the Vision Flight Deck on Global aircraft features four high-resolution 15-inch diagonal active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCD) arranged in a T-shape working in concert with the Head-up Guidance System (HGS™), personalized formats of display information, an electronic checklist, maps with graphical flight planning, an integrated cursor control panel, a Synthetic-Enhanced Vision System, paperless operation enabled by Dual Electronics Charts, a Future Air Navigation System (FANS), Controller-Pilot Datalink Communication (CPDLC), a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance (LPV) and a MultiScan™ Weather Detection system.

Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 business jet features the largest cabin of any purpose-built corporate aircraft - offering more cabin volume and more floor space than its closest competitor. No other business jet in the ultra long-range segment matches the high-speed range capability delivered by this aircraft. Offering the ultimate in cabin comfort, this impressive jet can link Delhi-Melbourne non-stop with eight passengers and three-to-four crew*.
