OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 24, 2011) - Robert Ireland, CEO of Next Alternative, Inc. (XETRA:N4H), is pleased to announce that the firm has been making significant headway in recent emulsion fuel tests.

Emulsion Fuel consists of water and petroleum blended on a sub-micron level. Next Alternative (NAI) has already successfully produced the mixture which it calls "NAI-Fuel" at a ratio of 60% fuel and 40% water and a small amount of stabilizing agent. Now the company reports that it is testing a mixture that is made up of the stabilizer and 50% fuel, 50% water. This is a very intriguing proposition as most competitors only use between 11% - 20% water. For instance, alternative energy companies in Singapore, a market heavily testing and promoting Em-Fuel, believe this fuel is where the trend is heading, but still are using only 20% water. Next Alternative is already way ahead of the curve!

Emulsion Fuel has proven to be a far cleaner source of energy that easily meets or exceeds all EPA requirements. In addition, it costs much less to manufacture than pre-processed fuels. Current testing is being done at Next Alternative's Canadian plant in Akwesasne, Ontario. Burn rates have been most positive and all signs point to the new ratio being completely effective. A successful burn at 50/50 also implies that the world's reserve fuel stocks could actually be doubled just by emulsifying the fuel. In the past, with oil spills, that fuel was ultimately wasted. Now it's possible to take emulsified fuel from spills and recycle it through machines and turn it into burnable emulsified fuel. According to Ireland, "The new test results are extremely exciting and tremendously promising." He stated further, "The implications to a wide variety of industries and facilities reliant upon diesel fuel is truly staggering. This could spark a major shift in the way fuel is manufactured and how it is used in the future." NAI also reports that testing has begun on emulsifying bio-diesel and waste car oil.
