EUROTECH S.p.A : wins 1.5m usd contract to supply embedded computers for medical application

AMARO, ITALY--(Marketwire - June 3, 2010) - Eurotech Sphere II Single Board Computer Powers Multiple Devices for Medical OEM Supplier

Amaro (Italy) June 3rd, 2010 - Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products, and systems, today announces a 1.5 Million USD contract to supply embedded computers to a medical original equipment manufacturer (OEM) that specializes in diagnostics and information technology solutions. The six-month contract will allow the customer to meet market demand for chemistry analyzers with the Eurotech Sphere II single board computer.

The customer chose Eurotech to upgrade its existing products to a newer single board computer extending the lifecycle of these products using this ARM technology. Used to test for diseases in just minutes, these products connect to a laboratory information management system that collects all results into an electronic medical record.
