NEW YORK--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Gleacher & Company Securities, Inc., a broker dealer subsidiary of Gleacher & Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: GLCH), today announced that Harry Wool has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Emerging Markets Group.
Mr. Wool joins Gleacher & Company as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Emerging Markets Group, with Peter Carril, in its Debt Capital Markets Division. Mr. Wool has over 23 years of credit trading experience. Prior to joining Gleacher & Company, he was a Managing Director at Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLCwhere he started the Emerging Markets Debt group, ultimately growing the group to nineteen professionals. His areas of oversight included Latin America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and European High Yield. Prior to MTR, Mr. Wool held various trading and sales positions within the International Fixed Income and Emerging Markets Debt groups of Gruntal & Co. Mr. Wool attended Washington University in St. Louis and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
