Recipients of the 2009 Microsoft Alumni Foundation Integral Fellows Awards were selected by a distinguished panel of judges -- former President Jimmy Carter, Bill Gates Sr., Bill Drayton, Pierre Omidyar, and Tom Tierney -- and will be announced Wednesday, November 18th at the 2009 Founders' Gala with Bill and Melinda Gates in Bellevue, WA. Three Microsoft alumni serve on NeXplore Corporation's board of advisors, including NeXplore Foundation Chairman Rowland Hanson, former vice president of corporate communications for Microsoft Corporation; Hani Imam, former general manager, finance operations for Microsoft Corporation; and Amar Nehru, former general manager, emerging markets group for Microsoft Corporation. Former Dallas Cowboy Darren Woodson and NBA great George Gervin also serve on the NeXplore advisory board.
Noting NeXplore and Microsoft's shared commitment to good corporate citizenship, Rowland Hanson introduced NeXplore to the Microsoft Alumni Foundation and facilitated NeXplore's sponsorship of the 2009 Founders' Gala and Integral Fellows program.
