LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - August 13, 2009) - Xcellink International Inc. (OTCBB: [ XCEL ]), an advanced platform-independent developer of customer-centric payment systems and methodologies, today announced details of the U.S. Patent # 7024385 titled 'Automated Electronic Funds Transfer System and Method' which covers the automated data interchange to achieve transactions between customers (buyers) and merchants (sellers) over local wired or wireless links. Following a recent license transfer, Xcellink has exclusive world-wide rights associated with this Patent.

Because of this highly significant event, providers of payments services who wish to automate consumer-based management systems with the use of a local link (such as Bluetooth, Infrared, Wi-Fi, WiMax and NFC (Near Field Communication)) must now either license the Xcellink method or find other means of achieving a comparable result. Potential revenues from the licensing alone run into hundreds of millions of dollars.

Xcellink holds the rights to a patented payment process with multiple applications ranging from retail transactions to road tolling, utilities billing and beyond. Xcellink has the capability to be used in every transaction, big or small, as a low cost alternative to cash, potentially replacing all credit, debit, charge and smart cards, integrating warehousing, delivery, taxation and consumer protection.

Xcellink's patented system has the potential to replace all credit, debit, charge and smart cards, providing all functions of order, warehousing, delivery and payment for all types of goods and services in a customer-centric manner that is more efficient, economical, and secure than systems operating today.

According to a recent research study by SYNERGISTICS RESEARCH CORP. entitled, Mobile Payments - The Consumer Perspective, it was found that almost one-fifth (18%) of Internet households report that they have done some type of mobile payment, including online bill payment, transfers or payments to individuals, online loan payments, and online purchases.

"Securing this patent is a cornerstone the success of Xcellink's business," commented a Company spokesman. "This is a hugely significant milestone and gives us a tremendous business advantage for the next 16 years. As technology converges towards our patent, we can potentially become the market leader in the global payment and commerce revolution. With the transfer of this patent we can move on to the commercialization and monetization of this highly valuable asset to maximize shareholder value."

With Xcellink's technology, merchants, banks, financial institutions, mobile carriers and utility providers will be able to address the key issues of security and inter-operability with existing systems and meet consumer demands for control & security, operational simplicity, lower transaction costs and location independent access.

The technology can work over a range of wide area networks including the telephone or internet, wireless data -- in fact any network that can support secure messaging using 'Information Appliances' such as mobile phones, wireless devices, Internet access points or other communications devices.
