March 14, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5532 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1862 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3971 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Tuesday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA), Analog Devices Inc. (NASDAQ:ADI), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG), SPDR BARCLAYS CAP INV GR FLO (NYSE:FLRN), Mobileye (NYSE:MBLY). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CMCSA $0.110 0.00% 4,519,054 47.40% 2,641,095 27.71% 1,877,959 170,724
  ADI $0.920 0.01% 2,430,183 49.79% 1,035,570 21.22% 1,394,613 15,159
  CSCO $0.020 0.00% 6,318,207 43.40% 4,413,681 30.32% 1,904,526 952,263
  DG $0.230 0.00% 2,839,393 66.08% 588,865 13.71% 2,250,528 97,849
  FLRN $0.010 0.00% 2,036,446 94.20% 92,388 4.27% 1,944,058 1,944,058
  MBLY $0.330 0.01% 10,408,983 39.38% 8,813,883 33.35% 1,595,100 48,336
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CMCSA with a Net Buy Volume of 1,877,959 shares and a Friction Factor of 170,724 shares. That means that it takes 170,724 more shares of buying than selling to move CMCSA higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Tuesday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
