March 14, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5532 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1862 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3971 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Tuesday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. MoneyGram International Inc. (NASDAQ:MGI), Hong Kong Highpower Technology (NASDAQ:HPJ), Corindus Vascular Robotics Inc. (NYSE:CVRS), Hyperdynamics Corp (PINK:HDYN), Ominto Inc. (OTC:OMNT), GrowGeneration Corp (PINK:GRWG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MGI $3.110 0.25% 3,940,218 38.24% 3,916,416 38.01% 23,802 77
  HPJ $0.370 0.14% 215,901 45.39% 162,233 34.10% 53,668 1,450
  CVRS $0.190 0.16% 2,630,269 37.87% 2,551,818 36.74% 78,451 4,129
  HDYN $0.220 0.13% 49,063 53.88% 34,094 37.44% 14,969 680
  OMNT $2.500 0.19% 52,668 54.32% 28,682 29.58% 23,986 96
  GRWG $0.220 0.13% 35,994 54.11% 30,011 45.12% 5,983 272
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MGI with a dollar gain Tuesday of $3.11000 and a Friction Factor of 77 shares. That means that it only took 77 more shares of buying than selling to move MGI higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
