March 14, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 5532 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1862 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3971 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Texas Instruments Incorporated (NASDAQ:TXN), CareTrust REIT Inc. (NASDAQ:CTRE), Vale S.A. (NYSE:VALE), Barclays Bank iPath Exch Traded Nts 2009-30.1.19 iPath S&P 500 VIX Short Term Futures Ser A (NYSE:VXX), Wix.com Ltd. (NASDAQ:WIX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  BAC $0.050 0.00% 20,735,002 32.91% 24,930,889 39.57% -4,195,887 Abnormal
  TXN $0.070 0.00% 827,726 19.38% 1,793,126 41.99% -965,400 Abnormal
  CTRE $0.030 0.00% 177,874 8.62% 1,632,832 79.12% -1,454,958 Abnormal
  VALE $0.080 0.01% 7,110,111 32.19% 8,044,292 36.42% -934,181 Abnormal
  VXX $0.260 0.02% 13,455,839 30.70% 14,684,551 33.50% -1,228,712 Abnormal
  WIX $0.770 0.01% 149,079 10.17% 1,169,123 79.72% -1,020,044 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Tuesday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC with 4,195,887 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.05000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
