November 17, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5410 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3485 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2662 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Thursday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Financial Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLF), Health Care Select Sector SPDR (NYSE:XLV), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI), iShares MSCI EAFE Index (NYSE:EFA), Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), PharmaCyte Biotech Inc. (OTC:PMCB). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  XLF $0.300 0.01% 36,019,671 36.80% 33,036,795 33.75% 2,982,876 99,429
  XLV $0.290 0.00% 5,287,088 34.99% 2,427,372 16.07% 2,859,716 98,611
  SIRI $0.050 0.01% 9,664,972 45.03% 7,557,345 35.21% 2,107,627 421,525
  EFA $0.400 0.01% 7,215,907 38.49% 5,226,105 27.88% 1,989,802 49,745
  INTC $0.120 0.00% 6,332,534 40.67% 4,138,966 26.58% 2,193,568 182,797
  PMCB $0.011 0.28% 10,908,185 55.76% 8,654,659 44.24% 2,253,526 2,048,660
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows XLF with a Net Buy Volume of 2,982,876 shares and a Friction Factor of 99,429 shares. That means that it takes 99,429 more shares of buying than selling to move XLF higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Thursday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
