November 17, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5410 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3485 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2662 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Thursday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. China Natural Resources Inc. (NASDAQ:CHNR), DryShips Inc. (NASDAQ:DRYS), Euroseas Ltd. (NASDAQ:ESEA), Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp (NASDAQ:SHIP), Globus Mrtm (NASDAQ:GLBS), Diana Containerships Inc. (NASDAQ:DCIX). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  CHNR $-2.430 -0.50% 237,054 28.71% 270,210 32.73% -33,156 -136
  DRYS $-61.700 -0.85% 1,896,732 22.79% 2,192,276 26.34% -295,544 -48
  ESEA $-2.100 -0.43% 2,375,653 32.62% 2,793,501 38.36% -417,848 -1,990
  SHIP $-3.350 -0.47% 1,988,831 36.67% 2,026,458 37.36% -37,627 -112
  GLBS $-8.300 -0.58% 600,991 31.01% 620,210 32.01% -19,219 -23
  DCIX $-8.660 -0.67% 4,175,710 31.36% 4,877,738 36.64% -702,028 -811
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows CHNR with a dollar loss Thursday of $-2.43000 and a Friction Factor of -136 shares. That means that it only took 136 more shares of selling than buying to move CHNR lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
