November 17, 2016 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5410 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3485 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2662 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Thursday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Brazil Index Fund (NYSE:EWZ), Banco Bradesco S.A. (NYSE:BBD), Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE:GDX), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ), MADALENA ENERGY (OTC:MDLNF), Direxion Trust Shs Direxion Daily Junior Gold Miners Index Bull 3X ETF (NYSE:JNUG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EWZ $-0.750 -0.02% 4,939,020 16.45% 7,470,048 24.88% -2,531,028 -33,747
  BBD $-0.260 -0.03% 2,979,263 26.63% 4,613,295 41.23% -1,634,032 -62,847
  GDX $-0.520 -0.02% 20,319,081 19.83% 38,796,097 37.87% -18,477,016 -355,327
  GDXJ $-0.970 -0.03% 3,922,857 14.56% 9,590,359 35.60% -5,667,502 -58,428
  MDLNF $-0.041 -0.44% 1,282,440 25.38% 3,771,190 74.62% -2,488,750 -614,506
  JNUG $-0.670 -0.09% 15,684,400 37.91% 17,633,626 42.62% -1,949,226 -29,093
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EWZ down $-0.75000 with a Friction Factor of -33,747 and a Net Volume of -2,531,028. That means that it takes 33,747 more shares of selling than buying to drop EWZ by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
