CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 25, 2012) - Canadian Oil Sands Limited (TSX:COS) (OTCQX:COSWF) ("COS") will hold its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. (MDT) in the Ballroom of the Metropolitan Conference Centre, located at 333 Fourth Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta.

The close of business on March 20, 2012 was fixed as the record date for determination of those shareholders entitled to receive notice and to vote at the meeting. If voting by mail, all proxies must be received by Computershare Trust Company no later than 2:30 p.m. (MDT) on Thursday, April 26, 2012.

Media attending the meeting will be asked to show accreditation when signing in.

COS' first quarter 2012 results are scheduled to be released after market close the same day.
