Redhawk Resources Announces Additional Results of 2011 Resource Expansion and Upgrade Drilling at Copper Creek Project
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 24, 2012) -Redhawk Resources, Inc. ("Redhawk" or the "Company") (TSX:RDK)(OTCQX:RHWKF)(FRANKFURT:QF7) -
- Additional drilling encounters thick mineralized zones including 2224 ft 0.60% Cu, 0.015% Mo; 1153 ft 0.46% Cu; 2310 ft 0.33% Cu, 0.010% Mo
- Significant high grade zones including 220.5 ft 1.59% Cu, 0.047% Mo; 202 ft 1.16% Cu, 0.020% Mo
- Infill drilling confirming grade and continuity of porphyry zones
- Assay results pending on a further six drill holes
- Three core drills continue working on 2011 drill program
Redhawk Resources, Inc. is pleased to announce the results of six additional drill holes of the 2011 resource expansion and definition program. (See attached map for drill hole locations.)
2011 Resource Expansion and Upgrade Drill Program
The 2011 drill program is focused on increasing the connection and consequent resource expansion between the Keel and American Eagle (AE) porphyry areas and infill drilling to move a considerable portion of the AE resource and more of the Keel resource into the Measured and Indicated categories in preparation for a Pre-Feasibility Study scheduled to begin early in 2012.
Since the results from earlier drilling of the 2011 program (see prior news releases dated June 1, 2011, September 12, 2011 and November 29, 2011), assay results for six additional core holes have now been received for:
- RAE-08-032 drilled vertical to total depth 3937 feet (1200m)
- RAE-11-055 drilled due west at -86 degrees to total depth 4186 feet (1276m)
- RAE-11-060 drilled S60E at -86 degrees to total depth 4027 feet (1227m)
- RAE-11-063 drilled N45E at -83 degrees to a total depth of 3947 feet (1203m)
- RAE-11-066 drilled N27E at -87 degrees to a total depth of 3949 feet (1204m), and
- RMK-11-072 drilled due west at -85 degrees to total depth 4009 feet (1222m)
Significant intervals are shown below. All of the holes are infill/resource upgrade holes in the AE and Keel resource areas. Hole RMK-11-072 is also an oriented core geotech hole.
Assay results are in progress on several additional completed holes. In addition, three core drill holes are in progress and several more drill holes remain to be completed under the 2011 plan. Results will be reported when assays are finalized.

Redhawk believes the results from the infill and expansion drill holes reported above and in previous releases are demonstrating the continuity of mineralization between the Keel and AE and between the wider spaced historical drill holes. The thick continuous intercepts of significant mineralization are very encouraging and support Redhawk's concept of a large porphyry copper district at Copper Creek.
R. Joe Sandberg, Redhawk President and CEO, stated: "The 2011 resource upgrade and expansion drilling continues to produce very encouraging results. The drilling will lead to a new resource update in early 2012. Additional permitting, hydrology, metallurgical and conceptual mine planning efforts are continuing in preparation for commencing the Pre-Feasibility Study in early 2012. We believe the outcome of these efforts will continue to move Copper Creek closer to a production decision."

All core samples are picked up on site by Redhawk geologists or delivered by the drillers to Redhawk personnel. All samples are delivered by Redhawk personnel to ALS Laboratory Group ISO 9001:2000 & ISO 17025 in Elko, NV or Reno, NV for assay or to Jacobs Assay Office Registered Assayers in Tucson, AZ for sample preparation to pulps and shipped by Jacobs using UPS to ALS in Reno, NV. Check assay standards are submitted with each assay job, and reviewed for accuracy. Check assaying is being performed by Inspectorate and KD Engineering/Metcon.

About Redhawk
Redhawk is a Canadian-based resource exploration and development company with primary focus on the accelerated development of its advanced stage Copper Creek copper-molybdenum project in San Manuel, Arizona. The 100% owned Copper Creek property consists of approximately twenty-eight square miles of contiguous patented and unpatented mining claims and state prospecting permits, located about 70 miles northeast of Tucson, Arizona and about 15 miles east of San Manuel. The property is in the prolific southwest US porphyry copper belt at the projected intersection of a major northwest belt of porphyry copper deposits or mines (Ray, Miami/Globe, Superior/Resolution, Johnson Camp) and a major east-northeast belt of porphyry deposits (San Manuel/Kalamazoo, Silver Bell, Lakeshore, Safford, Morenci). The property is within sight of the former BHP Kalamazoo/San Manuel copper smelter and mine and within 30 miles of an existing operating copper mill and smelter. The area is a mining friendly and politically secure location with excellent and readily accessible infrastructure including power, rail, water, roads and qualified consultants.
