Save the Date! GuestLogix to Host 2012 User Group Conference, October 1-3 in Toronto, for World's Top Airlines and Travel Operators
Exclusive Event for GuestLogix' Customers Dedicated to Maximizing Ancillary Revenue Strategies
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 23, 2012) - GuestLogix Inc. (TSX:GXI), the leading global provider of onboard retail and payment technology to airlines and the passenger travel industry, announced today that it will host its 4th annual User Group Conference October 1 through October 3 at the Intercontinental Toronto Centre. The Conference aims to join together the Company's new and existing global airline and passenger travel operator customers with its channel partners, product development staff, and leaders in onboard retailing and ancillary revenue strategies to learn about the latest 'buying in the sky' innovations.
"The 2012 GuestLogix' User Group Conference will provide an incredible opportunity for our customers to exchange ideas with each other and gain insight into inflight sales trends and the future of onboard retailing. The Conference is intimate so delegates will have many opportunities to connect with airline industry and travel operator colleagues and our channel partners. From dynamic guest speakers and interactive presentations and sessions, to a new venue and renewed partner showcase exhibition, we are pulling out all the stops in 2012," said Tom Douramakos, President and CEO of GuestLogix.
Onboard Retailing is a challenging environment. Airlines must understand the sales opportunities based on origin and destination and diversify their onboard selection of products and services to match passenger demand. By becoming a consumer's consummate travel concierge, as well as shopping and destination guide, airlines can generate revenue at more customer touch points than they might have ever considered possible. Airlines can become successful retailers by being aware of sales trends and consumer demand for products and services.
The 2012 Conference will feature sessions that focus on creating new and greater ancillary revenue streams. For example, sessions will deal with important issues within the industry such as contactless payments, evolution of payment options utilizing Chip & PIN or Near Field Communications (NFC) technology, and using inflight connectivity to further enable onboard retail activity through personal devices such as smartphones and tablets.
GuestLogix will also include many enhancements to the program, agenda and delegate experience in 2012 including a significant networking event, expanded partner showcase exhibit, and notable guest speakers from the retail sector worldwide.
"We are excited to build on the successes of our previous user conferences. Our primary focus this year will be to offer our customers and partners the best conference experience and meet their business needs and expectations," added Mr. Douramakos.
Delegate registration opens early spring, while sponsorship and partner showcase opportunities are available now. For more information, please contact Ruth Morayniss at [ rmorayniss@guestlogix.com ].
