MEDL Mobile Teams With Know Projects and Element Skateboards to Create Genre-Defining Skateboarding "How-To" App

"Know Skateboarding Street Fundamentals" Is Like a Private Lesson With a Pro Skater

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 19, 2011) - MEDL Mobile Holdings Inc. (OTCBB: [ MEDL ]) -- a leader in mobile apps development -- as well as Element Skateboards and Know Projects announced today that they have developed an instructional skateboarding app featuring professional skaters as instructors, exclusive video demonstrations and detailed step-by-step tutorials. The app, called "Know Skateboarding Street Fundamentals with the Element Pro Team," teaches 22 fundamental tricks and features brand-new Natural Stance™ visual instruction, a technology that redefines how skateboarding and other sports will be taught in the near future.

The app delivers a set of fundamental skill-building lessons created around the combined knowledge of four world-famous pro skaters for Element Skateboards: Mark Appleyard, Levi Brown, Chad Tim Tim and Darrell Stanton. Element Skateboards is a skateboard manufacturer and apparel retailer based in Irvine, Calif., a subsidiary of Australian clothing giant Billabong International.

"We had a blast working with this group of super-talented athletes and professionals in the skateboarding industry," said Dave Swartz, co-founder and chief creative officer at MEDL Mobile. "The team came to us with amazing exclusive video and a clear vision of what they wanted the app to deliver: an experience as close to a private lesson with a pro skater as possible."

The app covers more than twenty fundamental maneuvers, ranging from ollies and manuals to grinds, slides and basic flip tricks. Additional features like the in-app skateboarding glossary and the "slow-mo" video button help users learn by observation, while the "My Trick" feature allows them to record and share their own trick videos.

"iOS has given us a chance to fully immerse people in the world of skateboarding while they are learning the fundamental skills they need to become better skateboarders," said Josh Friedberg, CEO of Know Projects. "We set out to really take advantage of the platform and create the best learning experience possible with qualified instruction from true professionals. MEDL came through big-time, helping us realize our vision and deliver a best-in-class skateboarding instructional app."

"Know Skateboarding Street Fundamentals" is currently available on iTunes or via [ www.medlmobile.com ].

MEDL has developed and is developing more than 50 unique mobile apps for customers such as Monster.com, Emirates Airline, Medtronic and Telefonica.

MEDL Mobile's patent-pending recommendation engine technology provides mobile users with statistically significant and intelligent app recommendations. Recommendations are based on the user's "mobile lifestyle:" their mobile habits and interests based on hundreds of data points about that individual user. This powerful recommendation engine facilitates discovery of applications that users did not even know they would have an interest in, and prevents them from having to search for such apps, stimulating interest and engagement in new mobile apps.
