October 17, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 3983 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1566 companies with positive Friction Factors and 4300 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Monday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATION (NYSE:BAC), SPRINT NEXTEL CORP (NYSE:S), AER ENERGY RESOURCES INC (OTC:AERN), BOOKKEEPER INTERNATIONAL EQU (OTC:BKPR), MC ENDEAVORS INC (OTC:MSMY), (OTC:POTG). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     BAC $-0.150 -2.42% 48,271,444 29.18% 54,166,048 32.74% -5,894,604 -392,974
     S $-0.010 -0.36% 21,857,711 29.15% 27,416,222 36.56% -5,558,511 -5,558,511
     AERN $-0.023 -40.53% 12,903,290 41.50% 18,192,311 58.50% -5,289,021 -2,289,619
     BKPR $-0.028 -94.33% 2,583,643 16.84% 12,761,149 83.16% -10,177,506 -3,596,292
     MSMY $-0.023 -76.00% 15,113,128 40.20% 22,443,186 59.70% -7,330,058 -3,214,938
     POTG $-0.019 -16.24% 8,887,110 32.26% 17,353,650 62.99% -8,466,540 -4,456,074
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BAC down $-0.15000 with a Friction Factor of -392,974 and a Net Volume of -5,894,604. That means that it takes 392,974 more shares of selling than buying to drop BAC by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
