Former Epocrates CEO Kirk Loevner Named CEO of Resilient Network Systems

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - February 3, 2011) - Resilient Network Systems announced today that former Epocrates CEO, Kirk Loevner, recently joined as the company's Chief Executive Officer. Loevner is an innovative leader with a proven track record for successfully leading the growth of multiple start-up companies.

Under his leadership, revenues grew from $10- to $90-Million and Epocrates expanded to become the leading provider of decision support tools to healthcare professionals. Prior to Epocrates, Loevner served as CEO of the Internet Shopping Network, an early e-commerce company, PublishOne, an online publishing company, and ScreamingMedia, a publicly traded online media company, all of which were successfully sold. After earning his MBA at Harvard, Loevner started his career as a marketing executive at VisiCorp, a software pioneer that invented the first spreadsheet, VisiCalc, and Apple, where he led the introduction of many successful hardware and software products. Loevner was at Apple for a decade where he played many management roles including leading product marketing, evangelism, developer services, and Apple's software businesses. He built a developer network that generated over 10,000 innovative applications for the Macintosh in the 80s and 90s.
