January 4, 2011 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Tuesday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Tuesday there were 2564 companies with "abnormal" market making, 1865 companies with positive Friction Factors and 3401 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage loss per share Tuesday and low price friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. INTERCLICK INC (NASDAQ:ICLK), TIMBERLINE RESOURCES CORP (AMEX:TLR), HOME BANCSHARES INC (NASDAQ:HOMB), AMERICAN RAILCAR INDUSTRIES (NASDAQ:ARII), NEPTUNE TECH & BIORESSOURCES (NASDAQ:NEPT), BRONCO DRILLING CO INC (NASDAQ:BRNC). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
     ICLK $-0.660 -12.41% 571,069 49.49% 581,855 50.42% -10,786 -163
     TLR $-0.130 -11.11% 483,347 47.90% 505,018 50.05% -21,671 -1,667
     HOMB $-2.740 -11.94% 547,286 43.10% 720,178 56.72% -172,892 -631
     ARII $-2.520 -11.18% 63,507 44.87% 76,918 54.34% -13,411 -53
     NEPT $-0.290 -10.39% 32,044 45.07% 38,758 54.51% -6,714 -232
     BRNC $-0.820 -10.64% 437,476 46.02% 510,185 53.67% -72,709 -887

Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar losses (Change) and extremely low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows BRNC with a dollar loss Tuesday of $-0.82000 and a Friction Factor of -887 shares. That means that it only took 887 more shares of selling than buying to move BRNC lower by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to drop quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and negative market direction can drive prices lower faster than normal.
