Highlights of the report include the fact that over the past five years ITTa™s operations have reduced energy consumption by 31 percent, water use by 27 percent, hazardous waste generation by 46 percent and intensity of greenhouse gas emissions by 51 percent. ITT is targeting an additional 15 percent reduction in all of these areas over the next five years. Furthermore, ITT reports that by the end of 2010 its signature corporate citizenship program, ITT Watermark®, will have provided access to safe water and sanitation to 500,000 people and that by 2013, the program aims to reach 1 million more people through a $10.5 million pledge.
