Market Maker Surveillance Report. OLED, PSDV, DAIO, CRC, ESSI, PN, Winning Stocks With Lowest Price Friction For Friday, May 5

May 5, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5276 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3971 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2032 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Friday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. Cambridge Display Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:OLED), pSivida Corp. (NASDAQ:PSDV), Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ:DAIO), California Resources Corp (NYSE:CRC), ECO SCIENCE SOLUTION (OTC:ESSI), Pennaco Energy Inc. (NYSE:PN). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  OLED $21.500 0.24% 1,600,099 32.97% 1,475,078 30.39% 125,021 58
  PSDV $0.340 0.20% 1,023,404 42.58% 980,629 40.80% 42,775 1,258
  DAIO $1.210 0.25% 297,538 39.75% 292,434 39.06% 5,104 42
  CRC $2.290 0.23% 2,303,342 29.94% 2,280,733 29.65% 22,609 99
  ESSI $0.520 0.25% 664,635 53.73% 562,065 45.44% 102,570 1,973
  PN $0.600 0.23% 120,777 51.38% 72,457 30.83% 48,320 805
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows OLED with a dollar gain Friday of $21.50000 and a Friction Factor of 58 shares. That means that it only took 58 more shares of buying than selling to move OLED higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.

Cambridge Display Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:OLED) - Cambridge Display Technology, Inc. (CDT) is engaged in the development of polymer organic light emitting diodes (P-OLEDs) and their use in flat panel displays and other applications. The Company holds intellectual property (IP) portfolio for P-OLED materials and devices, including the fundamental patents for the use of polymers in electroluminescent devices, essential for use in P-OLED displays and other applications. P-OLEDs are part of the family of organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), which are matrixes of organic diodes that emit light when an electric voltage is applied. OLEDs are thin, lightweight and power efficient devices used in flat panel displays (FPDs) and other applications. CDT's P-OLEDs offer superior performance characteristics as compared to alternative FPD technologies, such as liquid crystal display (LCD).

The Company's P-OLED technology has the potential to drive OLED adoption by lowering the cost of producing OLED displays. P-OLED materials are solution processable, which enables them to be deposited on panels using processes, such as high-precision ink jet printing. Solution processing is efficient than the complex vacuum deposition processes used by competing OLED technologies and requires fewer processing steps than required in the production of LCDs.

CDT capitalizes on its IP position to generate upfront license fees and recurring royalty payments from sales by third parties of devices using its IP. The Company will also receive royalties from suppliers of red, green, blue and other P-OLED materials, as well as certain display driver chips. CDT is targeting display manufacturers as potential licensees of its P-OLED IP and in support, the Company provides these display manufacturers and others with a range of paid-for services relating to technology development and transfer.

The Company has already licensed its technology to companies, such as Dai Nippon Printing, Delta Optoelectronics, DuPont Displays, OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Royal Philips Electronics (Philips) and Seiko Epson for display manufacture. Several products which incorporate CDT's licensed P-OLED technology in their small-area displays have been introduced into the commercial marketplace, including a mobile phone and an electric shaver by Philips, a moving picture experts group layer-3 audio player with a Delta Optoelectronics display and medical devices and a range of point-of-purchase and other promotional items with OSRAM Opto Semiconductors displays. All of the commercially sold products, which incorporate the Company's P-OLED technology have been small monochrome displays. A number of CDT's licensees and development partners have demonstrated full-color displays using P-OLED technology.

CDT's materials licensees, Covion, Dow Chemical, H.C. Starck (a subsidiary of Bayer) and Sumitomo Chemical, manufacture and sell P-OLED materials to display manufacturers. Through a research and development program with Covion, collaborative relationships with Dow Chemical and Sumitomo Chemical, and its own work, the Company continues to improve red, green and blue materials and encourage their adoption in the industry to form the basis of the next generation materials for OLED displays. CDT also shares its research to improve lifetimes, color spectrum and power efficiencies of P-OLED materials made by its materials licensees with selected display manufacturers.
