Market Maker Surveillance Report. EEM, SRC, GLW, GFI, FTR, AMLP, Highest Net Buy Volume With Lowest Price Friction For Friday,

May 5, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Friday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Friday there were 5276 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3971 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2032 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net buy volume on Friday and lowest price Friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Spirit Realty Capital Inc. (NYSE:SRC), Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW), Gold Fields Limited (NYSE:GFI), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR), ALPS ALERIAN MLP ETF (NYSE:AMLP). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  EEM $0.320 0.01% 17,131,854 32.01% 14,032,205 26.22% 3,099,649 96,864
  SRC $0.800 0.12% 26,729,226 40.52% 23,801,108 36.08% 2,928,118 36,601
  GLW $0.060 0.00% 5,528,511 58.64% 1,107,206 11.74% 4,421,305 736,884
  GFI $0.030 0.01% 5,281,217 48.80% 2,401,643 22.19% 2,879,574 959,858
  FTR $0.040 0.03% 17,366,960 49.74% 10,737,460 30.75% 6,629,500 1,657,375
  AMLP $0.200 0.02% 6,714,140 53.77% 2,939,885 23.55% 3,774,255 188,713
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net dollar gains (Change) and very low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows EEM with a Net Buy Volume of 3,099,649 shares and a Friction Factor of 96,864 shares. That means that it takes 96,864 more shares of buying than selling to move EEM higher by one penny. This means the Market Makers are allowing the stock to move up higher as of Friday (lower friction). And with one of the highest Net Buy Volumes, the combination of low friction and high net buy volume is bullish.
