March 27, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5689 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3054 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2635 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the highest net sell volume on Monday and lowest negative price Friction (bearish). This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices dropped faster with less Friction. ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (NYSE:EEM), Bank of America Corporation (NYSE:BAC), Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE:PG), Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), Firesteel Resources Inc (NASDAQ:FTR). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  MT $-0.030 -0.00% 13,986,596 28.95% 20,049,085 41.50% -6,062,489 -2,020,830
  EEM $-0.100 -0.00% 13,756,086 27.24% 17,504,562 34.66% -3,748,476 -374,848
  BAC $-0.080 -0.00% 38,629,923 32.54% 47,944,780 40.38% -9,314,857 -1,164,357
  PG $-0.080 -0.00% 1,183,134 9.08% 6,508,486 49.97% -5,325,352 -665,669
  F $-0.160 -0.01% 16,680,208 27.11% 24,431,877 39.71% -7,751,669 -484,479
  FTR $-0.080 -0.04% 13,323,860 31.06% 18,943,358 44.16% -5,619,498 -702,437
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have low price friction combined with more selling than buying (negative Net Volume) in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows MT down $-0.03000 with a Friction Factor of -2,020,830 and a Net Volume of -6,062,489. That means that it takes 2,020,830 more shares of selling than buying to drop MT by one penny. On Monday the Market Makers allowed the stock to move down on heavier selling than buying (low negative friction).
