March 27, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Monday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Monday there were 5689 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3054 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2635 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with Abnormal Price Friction (bullish bias) in their stock prices. This means that there was more selling than buying in the stocks and their stock prices rose. Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:DAL), Newmont Mining Corporation (Holding Company) (NYSE:NEM), Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE:BMY), MARKET VECTORS ETF TRJR GOLD MINES (NYSE:GDXJ). Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  DAL $0.100 0.00% 1,671,197 15.42% 5,241,571 48.36% -3,570,374 Abnormal
  NEM $0.430 0.01% 1,153,713 12.70% 4,233,651 46.62% -3,079,938 Abnormal
  MU $0.390 0.01% 15,018,112 31.37% 21,281,145 44.45% -6,263,033 Abnormal
  AAPL $0.300 0.00% 6,303,395 26.96% 9,300,045 39.78% -2,996,650 Abnormal
  BMY $0.150 0.00% 1,906,587 12.22% 6,708,139 43.01% -4,801,552 Abnormal
  GDXJ $0.780 0.02% 6,725,819 23.19% 9,964,016 34.36% -3,238,197 Abnormal
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above had more selling than buying on Monday and their stock prices rose. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows DAL with 3,570,374 greater shares of selling than buying (NetVol) and the stock price was up $0.10000. This means the Market Makers were trading the stock in a way inconsistent with normal supply and demand (Economics 101); more selling than buying should cause prices to drop.
