March 23, 2017 / M2 PRESSWIRE / BUYINS.NET / www.buyins.net, announced today its proprietary Market Maker Friction Factor Report for Thursday. Since October 2008 market makers are now required to be on the bid as much as they are on the offer and for like amounts of stock. This Fair Market Making Requirement is designed to prevent market makers from manipulating stock prices. On Thursday there were 5452 companies with "abnormal" market making, 3273 companies with positive Friction Factors and 2518 companies with negative Friction Factors. Here is a list of the top companies with the largest percentage gain per share Thursday and low price friction (bullish). This means that there was more buying than selling in the stocks and their stock prices rose faster with less Friction. On Track Innovations Ltd (NASDAQ:OTIV), American Shared Hospital Services (NYSE:AMS), Constellium N.V. (NYSE:CSTM), Vascular Biogenics Ltd (NASDAQ:VBLT), Pennaco Energy Inc. (NYSE:PN), Jaguar Animal Health Inc. (NASDAQ:JAGX). To access Friction Factor, Naked Short Data and SqueezeTrigger Prices on all stocks please visit http://www.buyins.net .

Market Maker Friction Factor is shown in the chart below:

Symbol Change Percent Buy Volume Buy %% Sell Volume Sell %% Net Volume Friction
  OTIV $0.230 0.16% 325,628 49.55% 217,935 33.16% 107,693 4,682
  AMS $0.530 0.13% 63,052 40.71% 51,928 33.52% 11,124 210
  CSTM $1.050 0.19% 833,207 33.49% 766,302 30.80% 66,905 637
  VBLT $1.050 0.23% 159,582 39.01% 144,080 35.22% 15,502 148
  PN $0.320 0.14% 181,557 43.48% 149,032 35.69% 32,525 1,016
  JAGX $0.130 0.14% 341,712 41.27% 316,934 38.28% 24,778 1,906
Analysis of the Friction Factor chart above shows that each of the six stocks mentioned above have high net buy volumes (buy volume, sell volume) and low price friction in their stocks. The Friction Factor displays how many more shares of buying than selling are required to move a stock higher by one cent or how many more shares of selling than buying moves a stock lower by 1 cent.

For example, the chart above shows OTIV with a dollar gain Thursday of $0.23000 and a Friction Factor of 4,682 shares. That means that it only took 4,682 more shares of buying than selling to move OTIV higher by one penny. The Market Makers are currently allowing the stock to rise quickly (low friction). The combination of low friction and positive market direction can drive prices higher much faster than normal.
